The Dell Latitude 5490 notebook is a light, fast and very efficient laptop. It is the successor to the very popular and extremely successful model 5480 and a smaller version of the 15-inch model 5590. The external appearance and its workmanship do not differ significantly from its predecessor.
The difference is noticeable in the components used. They are newer and even more efficient.

This post-lease laptop is equipped with an efficient 8th generation Intel® Core™ i5 processor, 8GB DDR4 RAM and Fast SSD drive. The eighth generation i5 processors have 4 physical cores and 8 threads, which is a significant performance leap compared to previous generations. The processor used is the i5-8250U model clocked at 1.70 GHz, and thanks to Turbo Boost technology it reaches speeds of up to 3.40 GHz, guaranteeing reliability and very smooth operation in many applications at the same time.

Dell Latitude 5490 is also equipped with a 14-inch matte LED display and high Full HD resolution. Thanks to the matte surface of the matrix, the displayed image does not reflect the surroundings, which is a very big advantage. The full-size HDMI port allows you to send image and sound to external displays in excellent digital quality. It is also possible to connect older devices thanks to the analog VGA port.

A large number of well-placed connectors and ports ensure great comfort of use. We have, among others, a USB Type C port that supports DisplayPort output, 3 USB 3.2 ports, SD card reader, SmartCard, VGA, LAN, audio jack and Kensington lock , to which we can attach a rope and thereby protect the laptop against theft. 

The whole thing is enclosed in a stylish black casing, which is reinforced and has high-quality hinges, which makes it very durable. This is confirmed in advanced military-grade MIL-STD 810G testing.
